European Seminar on Computational Methods in Quantum Chemistry - 2011

Since the first such seminar in Strasbourg in 1969, the European Seminars on Computational Methods in Quantum Chemistry (ESCMQC) or “Strasbourg Seminars” have been organized every third year in different European locations.

In 2011, the 15th ESCMQC will be held in June 16–19 at Oscarsborg Fortress, on a small island just outside Drøbak, a seaside town 40 km south of Oslo in Norway. Like previous seminars in this series, the Oscarsborg meeting highlights new developments in computational quantum chemistry but with a slightly stronger emphasis on density-functional theory and periodic systems than at the previous seminars. The Strasbourg seminars have traditionally been a venue for young workers in the field to present their work. We continue this tradition and encourage young people to sign up for contributing talks.
