Molecular Properties '09

Bridging the gap between theory and experiment

An ICQC 2009 satellite symposium


The symposium highlights the calculation of molecular properties by quantum-chemical methods, including developments in methodology and applications to challenging problems in chemistry and physics, with emphasis on the relationship between theory and experiment. The conference begins at 4 pm on Thursday June 18 2009 and ends at 1 pm on Sunday June 21 2009. The main ICQC conference begins on June 22 in Helsinki, Finland.

There will be a total of 18 lectures given by invited speakers (40 minutes including discussion) and 17 lectures given by contributing speakers (25 minutes including discussion). The contributing speakers have been selected among those registered for oral presentations/posters. See Program page for list.

Travel

Hotel Vettre is located about 20 km southwest of Oslo, on the Oslo fjord. It is most easily reached by taking the airport train from Oslo airport (Gardermoen) to Asker. Trains depart in both directions every 20 minutes and travel time is 48 minutes (NOK 190). At Asker station, take a taxi to Vettre Hotel; distance 5 km; travel time less than 15 minutes (about NOK 150).  Please download road description (pdf).

Abstracts

Deadline for abstract submission: May 3rd

Please send your abstract to: mp09-abstracts@kjemi.uio.no

Please submit a pdf file, using font Times 12 pt if possible, restricting yourself to one page.  The organizing committe will then make a selection of 17 oral presentations by May 15.
