A Symposium in Honour of Jeppe Olsen on the Occasion of his 60th Birthday
The meeting will take place at Scandic Hotel Alta which is 5 km from Alta Airport
The Hylleraas Symposium is a celebration of the achievements of Egil A. Hylleraas. His work on the helium atom in the 1920s confirmed the validity of quantum mechanics for many-particle systems and probably represents the first important use of computing in physics.
The workshop will be mostly about: Density-functional theory, Wave-function methods, Quantum Monte Carlo. CTCC is one of the sponsors.
An international workshop dedicated to fundamental aspects of density-functional theory (DFT), on 8 January — 10 January 2015, at The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters.
FemEx-Oslo pays tribute to recent important developments in theoretical and computational chemistry by inviting chemists and physicists to attend lectures given mostly by female speakers and to present their own work in form of oral communications or posters. Of the 40 lectures to be presented at FemEx-Oslo, 30 are by invitation, while 10 are open for competition among the registrants (with no gender preference).
Topics: Organometallic chemistry, coordination chemistry, homogeneous catalysis.
Aim: To offer a great opportunity for Nordic researchers to come together, present their results and create valuable networks.
The lectures are open to everyone. Meals are reserved for registrated participants.
Celebrating the scientific career and achievements of Prof. Trygve Helgaker on the occasion of his 60th birthday.
A CECAM sponsored workshop that takes place September 23-26 2012 at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa.
Conveners are Chiara Cappelli from the SNS, Magdalena Pecul from the University of Warsaw and Prof. Kenneth Ruud from the CTCC.
The 12th Sostrup Summer School, organized by T. Helgaker, P. Jørgensen and J. Olsen since 1990, will be held near Himmelbjerget in Denmark the first two weeks of July, 2012. For further information, see below or contact T. Helgaker
An international conference celebrating the 60th birthday of Prof.Peter R.Taylor, organized at the University of Zürich. The meeting is co-sponsored by the CTCC, and Prof.Kenneth Ruud is a member of the organizing committee. Homepage
Since the first such seminar in Strasbourg in 1969, the European Seminars on Computational Methods in Quantum Chemistry (ESCMQC) or “Strasbourg Seminars” have been organized every third year in different European locations.
An International Workshop
An ICQC 2009 satellite symposium
The symposium highlights the calculation of molecular properties by quantum-chemical methods, including developments in methodology and applications to challenging problems in chemistry and physics, with emphasis on the relationship between theory and experiment.
